96 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "Pure and elegant, this enticing red draws you in with fresh cherry, raspberry, floral and spice aromas and flavors. Lithe and beautifully defined, picking up details of mineral and black pepper as this winds down effortlessly on the long-lasting finish. Hard to resist enjoying this now. Best from 2026 through 2043. 35 cases imported. (3/1/23)"

94-96 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "From Les Rouges du Bas A rich clean purple, with some quite fine red berry fruit to follow on the nose, then perhaps a greater intensity than I was expecting, more acidity, a few fine tannins and very good length. More raspberry and redcurrant than plusher fruit. (Nov 2021)"

95 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Hailing from Les Rouges du Bas, this concentrated and firm Grand Cru structure is nicely balanced by heady, ripe fruit. Mulberries and quince scent the bouquet, and the palate layers on mocha and cigar box. A compelling composition, this needs a few years to come into focus. 2025-38. (2022)"

92-94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from Les Rouges du Bas that is worked by horse because it is so steep; occasionally other Echézeaux is added from purchases but in 2019 this is a domaine wine). A notably spicier if much less earthy nose offers up notes of ripe red berry coulis, violet and a whiff of exotic jasmine tea. The supple, round and beautifully textured medium weight flavors are at once suave and velvety while retaining reasonably good delineation on the sneaky long and youthfully austere finale that is sufficiently structured to suggest an aging curve of 12 to 15 years. Drink: 2032+. (Apr 2022)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Echézeaux Grand Cru was quite closed on the nose, backward and rather sultry, black fruit mixed with incense and seaweed emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, fine acidity, quite fleshy and harmonious, with a velvety smooth finish. Quite seductive. Drink: 2026-2055. (Dec 2021)"
