95-97 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru possesses one of the finest aromatics from Jadot this year with pixelated red berry fruit and perfectly integrated oak. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannins, mainly red fruit laced with tobacco, mocha and white pepper, gentle grip on the finish and a persistent aftertaste. Superb. (Dec 2021)"

94-97 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "This is the only Jadot bottling of Clos St-Denis this year, as there is no longer a negociant version. A fine bright pink edged purple, far from the deepest but very fine. The nose too shows more elegance than supercharged weight. This wine is giving its love right at the start and it is very classy all the way through, with very few overt tannins and just the right acidity. A few whole bunches explain the purity and length. (Nov 2021)"

96 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Punchy red fruits sing on the nose: pomegranate seeds, fresh cranberries and kirsch. Fabulously pure fruits soak the full-bodied palate encased in suave tannins and fresh acidity. This is focused and chiselled with excellent terroir clarity. Woodsy spice and leather notes mingle with the long, fruit-filled finish. 2025-40. (2022)"

94-96 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru (Domaine Gagey) is one of the best wines in the cellar chez Jadot this year. Mingling aromas of red berry fruit with hints of rose petal, exotic spices, vanilla pod and raw cocoa, it's full-bodied, deep and multidimensional, with a layered core of concentrated, vibrant fruit that's framed by velvety tannins. It's well worth seeking out. (Jan 2022)"

95 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "This is a marvellous wine, with dense pomegranate and black cherry fruit, dusted with anise, liquorice and redolent of fresh flowers. The texture is ripe and lush, yet there are reserves of tannin and the extract to age for decades. The 0.17ha parcel of the Clos St-Denis that Jadot owns is in the original part of the Clos; it technically belongs to Domaine Gagey, and it is worthwhile to check the label to ensure that it is the same. Drinking Window: 2025-2050. (Nov 2021)"
