94 points Rebecca Gibb, MW (Vinous): "This is a very fine, fragrant and floral Le Haut Lieu Sec. While delicate, the 2021 fills the mouth with a cloud of pure fruit reminiscent of violets, apple and nectarine skin. There's a fine sinew that pulls the wine through on the finish. It can be approached in its youth but will go on and on. Drink: 2022-2040. (Sep 2022)"

93 points James Suckling: "A wealth of sliced-pear, white-peach and citrus-zest aromas with a hint of honeycomb makes this dry Vouvray very appealing. Abundant succulence in spite of the rather sleek palate. Long, very silky finish with impeccable balance. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold. (1/5/23)"

92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2021 Vouvray “Le Haut Lieu” Sec from Domaine Huët is a lovely wine and really quite the revelation in quality for a vintage that was so severely frost-damaged in the spring. The wines is an even thirteen percent alcohol and delivers a beautifully precise, chiseled nose of sweet quince, lemon, dried flowers, chalky soil tones, a touch of beeswax and a topnote of citrus zest. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, focused and soil-driven in personality, with a good core of fruit, lovely, zippy acidity, excellent balance and a long, complex and very classy finish. Fine juice that harkens back a bit stylistically to the pre-global warming era, when Sec bottlings from the domaine would start out with a similar mineral drive as the 2021, and not quite the same mid-palate amplitude of fruit as we have found in the last dozen years of the Sec bottlings here. 2022-2070. (Jul/Aug 2022)"

92 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Airy and finely balanced, Le Haut-Lieu shows seductive fruit, flowing with brilliance, a wine to open within five years. (2023)"

91 points/"#83 Top 100 Wines of 2022," Wine Spectator: "An elegant white with beautiful fruit purity, featuring freshly juiced apple, fleshy lychee and baking spice notes that build in intensity on the palate. Shows salty acidity that's nicely set against a buttercream note, with salted caramel marking the crackling finish. Drink now through 2025. (12/15/22)"
