92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The vineyard of les Maranches in the village of Uchizy is all terres blanches and one of the chalkiest single vineyard bottlings in Dominique Lafon’s Mâconnais lineup. The 2018 version couples the nicely ripe fruit of the vintage to this lovely foundation of terroir, wafting from the glass in a vibrant blend of apple, pear, citrus zest, a touch of beeswax, chalky minerality and a topnote of white lilies. On the palate the wine is ripe, full-bodied, focused and complex, with a lovely core, good soil signature, zesty acids and fine length and grip on the well-balanced and classy finish. This is really a good example of the vintage. 2020-2030. (Jul/Aug 2020)"
90 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Wafting from the glass with aromas of mandarin orange, citrus blossom and fresh peach, the 2018 Mâcon-Uchizy Les Maranches is medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with a fleshy core of fruit and a charming, seamless profile. As usual, some muscaté selections of Chardonnay make themselves felt. Drink: 2020-2030. (Jun 2020)"

90 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "[$35 list] Bright flavors of peach, apple and lemon are accented by light pastry notes in this supple white. Yet it's the balance that makes it compelling and easy to enjoy now. Tangy, citrus finish. Drink now. 1,500 cases made. (12/15/20)"
'Outstanding/Top value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from chardonnay muscaté). There is a touch of the exotic in the form of muscat and lychee nut to the pear liqueur scents. Once again there is fine volume to the intense, dense and almost muscular flavors that also terminate in a bone dry and chiseled finale. Worth checking out. Drink: 2022+. (Oct 2019)"
