93 points Ines Salpico (Decanter): "A classic and for good reason, consistently delivering approachable complexity and unpretentious elegance. Citrus freshness, fleshy orchard fruit and smoky nuttiness. Marked yet poised acidity driving a delicious, vibrant finish with lingering toasty notes. (Jun 2022)"

93 points Anne Krebiehl (Falstaff): "(jeroboam) The nose opens with salty, almost miso-like savouriness. With air a real sense of ripe Mirabelle comes through. The palate is rich and fresh and quite a few notches up from your normal brut sans année. A lovely autolytic depth, elegant foam and real savouriness pervade this. Bravo. (11/12/21)"

92 points Tyson Stelzer (The Champagne Guide): "(2013 base vintage; disgorged October and November 2017; 50% chardonnay, largely from the Côte des Blancs, particularly Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Avize, Cramant and Chouilly; 50% pinot, mostly from the Montagne de Reims, particularly Aÿ, Verzy, Verzenay, Beaumont, Sillery and Mailly-Champagne; 65% premier and grand crus; 30% reserves, including Cuve 38 (see previous page); aged 3.5 years on lees; 7–8g/L dosage; cork; 70% of production, hence around 1 million bottles). Fresnet describes 2013 as a great year of high acidity and fruitiness, which he has captured beautifully in his entry blend. It lands pre-charged with impressive bottle-age complexity of toast, brioche, roasted almonds, gingernut biscuits and dried peach, with a flicker of grilled-bread reductive complexity, while holding admirable, lemon fresh vibrancy, energy and elegance thanks to its strong Côte des Blancs chardonnay lead. Upholding a medium straw hue, this is a beautifully balanced and refined blend energised by the prominent, salty chalk minerality of the great Côte des Blancs grand crus. Apple, pink grapefruit, lemon and pear fruit melds seamlessly with fine-grained structure and perfectly gauged dosage on a long and even finish. A bargain apéritif. (2020-2021)"

91 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The new bottling in the market of Henriot “Brut Souverain” is composed of a blend of fifty percent chardonnay, forty-five percent pinot noir and five percent pinot meunier. It spent three years aging sur latte and was finished with a dosage of less than eight grams per liter. The wine offers up a vibrant and precise bouquet of apple, pear, plenty of smokiness, chalky soil tones, fresh-baked bread and a topnote of dried flowers. On the palate the wine is crisp, full-bodied and fairly youthful in structure, with bright acids, lovely focus and grip, a good core, elegant mousse and a long, nascently complex finish. This non-vintage cuvée has a fine record of aging in my cellar and I would not hesitate to tuck this away for a few years and really let it blossom completely. 2019-2040+. (May/Jun 2019)"

91 points Wine Spectator: "A crisp and minerally Champagne, with well-cut acidity and a lightly chalky texture that frames flavors of crunchy pear and lemon sorbet with accents of oyster shell, pickled ginger and toasted brioche. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. Drink now. (11/15/21)"

91 points James Suckling: "Attractive aromas of apples, pears and pralines follow through to a full body with lots of mineral, and apple flavors. Fine-textured bubbles at the end. Drink or hold. (1/5/22)"
