96 points Wine Spectator: "[$250 list] A textbook blanc de blancs in a relatively opulent style, with ample grilled nut, brioche and spice character alongside classic flavors of poached apricot, kumquat, oyster shell and lemon blossom. This rich profile is well-defined by racy acidity, sleek and well-cut, driving the long, lacy finish. A beauty. Drink now through 2035. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 185 cases imported. (12/15/20)"

96 points Decanter: "This Champagne made with 100% Chardonnay sourced from four grand cru villages (Cramant, Avize, Oger and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger) and from one 1er Cru village, Vertus. Disgorged in Novembre 2019 after spending 13 years on its lees, the 2006 Blanc des Millénaires has elegant notes of apricot, pineapple, exotic fruit including mango, as well as white flowers. The palate is medium-bodied, delicate and yet opulent at the same time. The texture is crystalline and very pure. Good vivacity too thanks to ripe acidity. The finish is long and expansive. Very long ageing potential (10-15 years). Drinking Window: 2020-2035. (Jun 2020)"

96 points Anne Krebiehl, MW (Falstaff): "A very rich and expressive nose of chalk, fresh field mushroom, white truffle, with highlights of salted caramel. The mousse is ultra-fine and the slender palate has an immensely savoury, salty depth paired with smoothest texture, really fine, utterly salty, mouth-watering, really exquisite, profound and incredibly long. A mature and compelling, salty, gastronomic Champagne. (3/29/22)"

94-96 points Essi Avellan, MW: "The sixth creation of Blanc des Millénaires combines fruit from four grand cru villages (Oger, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Cramant and Avize) with Chardoonnay from the premier cru of Vertus. True to the sunny and warm year 2006, the wine comes with deep golden hued colour already upon launch. The nose is distinctly tropical with Charles Heidsieck’s hallmark toastiness emerging quickly in the glass. Beautiful coffee tones alongside candied lemon, baked pineapple and complex floral tones. The fruitiness is laudably clean and bright. The palate is round but soon after the initial feeling of richness, the wine’s minerality and high acidity kick in. The finish turns out to be long, pure and seemingly dry. An instantly open and generous Blanc des Millénaires with more complexity arising over time. (Dec 2021)"

95 points James Suckling: "Rippling with ripe stone-fruit and citrus aromas, plus notes of buttered toast and chalk, this is both powerful and mouthwatering, with enough structure to carry its imposing stature. The lemony finish is at once creamy and saline. A Blanc de Blancs from 5 top Crus in the Côte des Blancs. Drink now. (1/5/22)"

94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Recently disgorged with seven grams per liter dosage, the 2006 Brut Blanc de Blancs Blanc des Millénaires is expressive and charming, in keeping with the sunny, demonstrative style of the vintage. Offering up aromas of toasted brioche, honeycomb, yellow apples and preserved citrus, it's full-bodied, fleshy and textural, with a rich core of fruit, ripe acids and an attractive pinpoint mousse. It's already drinking well, and I'd be inclined to approach it sooner than the more tightly wound 2004 rendition. Drink: 2020-2033. (Sep 2020)"

94 points Tom Hewson (TimAtkin.com): "The 2006 Blanc des Millénaires may not be the critic's vintage, but it's hard not to smile at the sheer decadence of the style. There's a butterscotch richness, is evident in quite a few 2006s, lining flavours of coffee macaroon and orange cream, with some tropical ripeness and plush citrus tempered by a little citrus-rind grip. One to enjoy while the 2008 sleeps. (Dec 2022)"
