92 points Wine Spectator: "[$54 list] There's a subtle chalkiness to this mouthwatering Champagne. A minerally edge is enmeshed with flavors of Asian pear, white cherry, honeycomb and pickled ginger as they ride the fine, creamy mousse. Disgorged June 2020. Drink now through 2024. (11/15/21)"

92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A cool, pure and very yeasty nose combines notes of brioche, citrus, apple and a whiff of petrol. There is a wonderfully refreshing character to the utterly delicious and impressively complex flavors that are supported by a firm but not particularly refined effervescence while delivering excellent length on the clean and moderately dry finish. I quite like this as it's rare to find this level of depth for less than $100. To be clear, it's not going to wow you with refinement but if your taste runs to full-flavored Champagne, this is one to consider. Drink: now."

91 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Marc Hébrart “Cuvée de Réserve” non-vintage Brut now in the market is from base year 2017, though this is only forty-five percent of the blend this year. It also includes fifteen percent 2016 juice, ten percent 2015 and fully thirty percent 2014. The blend this year works out to eighty-two percent pinot noir and eighteen percent chardonnay, with the vins clairs raised entirely in stainless steel, going through full malo and aging about twenty months on its fine lees prior to disgorgement in October of 2019, with a finishing dosage of eight grams per liter. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a vibrant blend of apple, a touch of almond, fresh-baked bread, a fine base of soil tones and gentle smokiness in the upper register. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and nicely balanced, with a good core and mineral undertow, pinpoint bubbles and a long, zesty and complex finish. This is very tasty, with the significant percentage of reserve wines in the blend really adding complexity/ 2020-2035. (Sep/Oct 2020)"

90 points Wine & Spirits: "Jean-Paul Hébrart’s latest release is 80 percent pinot noir, the balance chardonnay. Fermented in glass-lined stainless-steel vats, it holds ripe red fruit and fennel notes surrounded by soft umami richness. For miso-glazed black cod. (Dec 2021)"

WHWC Staff Notes: "This estate has been around since 1964 under Marc Hébrart. Marc's son Jean-Paul took over of the operations in 1997. Much like his father, Jean-Paul makes great, memorable Champagnes. I had the opportunity and pleasure to taste this amazing wine at our annual Champagne Bash tasting last November here at the store. Out of a selection of 20 stellar Champagnes, many of them tête du cuvées, the Hébrart 1er cru NV was my favorite of them all. Blended from 82% Pinot Noir and 18% Chardonnay, the bubbles show fresh aromas of citrus, flowers, and shortbread that jump out of the glass. On the palate, the wine is crisp, rich, refreshing with a mouthwatering finish that leaves you begging for more. Highly Recommended." -Daniel Herrera
