94-96 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2018 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru soars from the glass with aromas of cassis, mulberries, grilled meat, rose petals, blood orange and a deft framing of toasty new oak. Muscular but harmonious, this full-bodied wine is rich, layered and textural, its ripe structuring tannins concealed by a lavish core of fruit. This fine cuvée, which somehow still flies largely under the radar, is well worth seeking out. (Feb 2020)"

95 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "Equally divided between Mazis-Hauts and Mazis-Bas, with three parcels in each part of the Grand Cru, the Harmands' holdings add up to 0.76ha. Aged in 90% new wood, this is a bold, structured, richly textured Pinot Noir with lots of toast and coffee bean oak, layers of dark bramble and black cherry fruit, plenty of texture and the concentration to age. Drinking Window: 2023-2033. (Oct 2019)"

95 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2018 Mazis-Chambertin from the Harmand family is also a superb example of the vintage. The wine was still in barrel and offers up a classic, ripe bouquet of dark berries, black cherries, cassis, black minerality, just a whisper of Mazis’ youthful botanical streak, dark chocolate, roasted meats and spicy new oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and beautifully sappy on the attack and at the core, with impressive backend mineral drive, ripe, seamless tannins and great length and grip on the focused and impeccably balanced finish. 2034-2080. (Nov/Dec 2019)"
