94 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "Owned solely by the Harmand family, this monopoly vineyard of 0.44ha sits at the apex of the Combe de Lavaux in one Gevrey-Chambertin's highest and coolest sites . Always among the freshest and most refined of Philippe Harmand's reds, this has a hint of good reduction, sappy, crunchy, pomegranate and red cherry fruit and well-integrated 30% new oak. The lower alcohol is most welcome here. Alcohol 13%. Drinking Window: 2022-2030. (Oct 2019)"

90-92+ points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru La Bossière Monopole has turned out well, exhibiting an appealing bouquet of cassis, berries and warm spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, racy and precise palate, the warmth of the vintage evidently playing to the strengths of this cool mesoclimate. (Feb 2020)"

91 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The domaine’s example of la Bousière from 2018 had only been racked a few days before my visit, but it too was still on form and there was no problem judging the wine. The bouquet offers up an excellent blend of black cherries, dark berries, grilled meats, dark soil tones, cigar smoke, espresso and new oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and tightly-knit out of the blocks, with a fine core, firm, well-integrated tannins and lovely length and grip on the well-balanced finish. 2028-2060+. (Nov/Dec 2018)"
