96 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "The Grivot family's parcel of Clos de Vougeot covers a pretty substantial 1.86ha and runs from the bottom of the Grand Cru up to the Château de la Tour on mixed soils. Matured in 30% new wood, it's a fine, elegant, textured rendition of the terroir with impressive zip and palate length, silky tannins and a hint of ageworthy noble reduction. Drink: 2026-2036. (Oct 2019)"

94-96 points Fine Wine Review: "Perfumed black raspberry nose. Mouth has dense, pure black raspberry and other dark fruits, good precision, finesse. Proverbial iron fist in a velvet glove. (4/7/20)"

93-96 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Ripe red purple colour, the nose hardly speaking yet. This is a big boy but in balance, with a sweet dark fruit, not quite sure if it goes all the way through. Quiet today but with lots of potential. (Mar 2019)"

94-95 points Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Clos de Vougeot is showing beautifully, with lovely, vivid energy. The ample water supply in at least parts of Clos de Vougeot could partially explain the energetic and vivacious Clos de Vougeot wines in 2018. The Grivot plot is at the bottom of the vineyard – so one would postulate no risk of hydric stress. The nose is beautifully perfumed with notes of blackberries and blueberries. On the palate, medium-bodied with fine energy and density. Surprisingly fresh, with vibrant acidity. Drink from 2034. (11/15/19)"

93-95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2018 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru showed just a little reduction on the nose, but that blows away with modest swirling to reveal blackberries, raspberry coulis, touches of melted tar and rose petals. The palate is medium-bodied with gentle grip. It displays a fine crescendo in the mouth, until it reaches the effervescent finish. A tang of blood orange and brown spice lingers on the aftertaste. Drink: 2023-2050. (Jan 2019)"

94 points and 'Don't miss!' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(50+ year old vines located in the lower section of the Clos). A beautifully layered nose reluctantly offers up a pretty if brooding array of plum, spice, game, earth and soft oak nuances. The supple yet punchy and overtly powerful broad-shouldered flavors possess excellent density while delivering first-rate persistence on the sappy finish that really firms up as it sits on the palate. Impressive, ageworthy and a bit less austere at this early stage than usual. Drink: 2036+. (Jan 2021)"
