97 points Decanter: "Extremely pale and brick coloured, typical of Serralunga, this is intensely scented with macerated violets, roses, blood orange and rhubarb root. The palate is fiercely fresh, with a red berry character and full body with a lot of weight. Ripe, velvety tannins and lifted acidity give a tense, elegant style, and it ends with fragrant fresh fruit - promising for a long cellaring. Like Gabutti and Parafada, Lazzarito is one of the oldest and best-known crus in Serralunga. Coming from a very old vineyard, the grapes are macerated for 50 -60 days with several pumpovers to aid maximum extraction, then aged in 20hl oak vessels for 36 months. Drinking window 2021-2045 (Apr 2021)."

94 points Monica Larner (Wine Advocate): "[$110 list] The 2015 Barolo Riserva Lazzarito (with fruit from Serralunga d'Alba) shows a generous, full-bodied consistency, with dark fruit, spice, baking clove and other dustings of exotic spice, such as cardamom and clove. That spiciness washes through the bouquet, and you can feel it on the palate, where the wine is structured and firm. Some 4,500 bottles were released. Drink: 2024-2040. (Jun 2021)"

93 points Wine Spectator: "Offers an intriguing mix of juniper, green tea, smoky plum and leather aromas and flavors, with earth and sanguine tones. A broad swath of dusty tannins line the finish. Best from 2025 through 2039. 430 cases made, 120 cases imported. (Apr 2022)."

93 points James Suckling: "Needs a bit of air to bring out the rich red-cherry aromas, then lots of floral and lightly spicy notes. Medium-bodied with intense, spicy fruit flavors that coat the very fine tannin structure and add length to the wine. Turns chocolatey at the end. Nice to drink now, but this will continue to improve in the bottle. Best after 2023. (7/2/21)"

92 points Kerin O'Keefe (Wine Enthusiast): "Aromas of roasted coffee bean, scorched earth, French oak and camphor lead the nose along with underlying whiffs of blue flowers. The firmly structured, linear palate offers pomegranate, blood orange and toasted hazelnut before closing on a hint of espresso. Close-grained tannins grip the finish. (Nov 2021)."

92 points Jeb Dunnuck: "[$110 list] The 2015 Barolo Riserva Lazzarito saw a long maceration of 55-60 days in stainless steel prior to 30-36 months aging in large French oak. It is highly aromatic with confected mixed berry fruit, cherry licorice, crushed violets, and melded baking spice. There is persistent saline minerality on the palate, with dried cranberry, orange zest, and clove. Drink 2022-2040. Drink: 2022-2040. (5/27/21)"
