The 2020 Spätburgunder Hundsrück GG shows more forest fruits like blackberries and wild strawberries on the cool, ethereal nose as well as peppery and slightly toasty notes. Silky, fresh and elegant in the mouth and very compact, with plenty of grip and tension, this is a powerful and athletic yet also fine, juicy Pinot. It is still slightly astringent but also aromatic on the finish. It has perhaps a touch more accents than the Centgrafenberg. 13% stated alcohol. Tasted in Wiesbaden, August 2022. (Dec 2022)"
