90 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2019 Spätburgunder Tradition is incredibly attractive on the blunt, aromatic, perfectly ripe and so charmingly fruit-intense nose. However, we can still smell the sandstone here and the coolish terroir of Bürgstadt. This is not only ripe but tastes of stewed cherries. Silky, round and very elegant on the palate, this is a concentrated, intense and fleshy Pinot Noir that yielded only 35 hectoliters per hectare instead of 50. This is what most consumers like to have from Pinot Noir: fruit, charm and a mouthful of pleasure. The tannins are ripe and finely bitter, and the sandstone adds its freshness. A gorgeous wine for 15 euros ex-cellar. 13% alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in October 2021. Drink: 2021-2040. (Dec 2021)"
