92 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "[$55 list] Pale, green-tinged yellow. Smells riper than the Montmains but also displays pungently fresh iodiney minerality. Densely packed and sweet, with youthful grapefruit and pineapple flavors dominated on the back end by the strong iodiney minerality. Very firm but not austere, this superb premier cru saturates the mouth without leaving any impression of excess weight. Built to age. Drink: 2020-2028. (Jul 2016)"

90-92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from <75% Vaillons with the remainder from Mélinots and Châtains). This could be from nowhere else but Chablis with its pungent aromas of oyster shell, mineral reduction, algae, white flowers and citrus rind. There is even better complexity to the delicious, intense and delineated medium weight flavors that also display profuse minerality on the saliva-inducing finish that really fans out as it sits on the palate. Worth considering. Drink: 2020+. (Oct 2015)"

91+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "As Didier observed, 'Vaillons is a solar terroir and always ripens very early.' In the fine 2014 vintage, this has given the wine a really flashy, albeit very pure, nose, that jumps from the glass in a wide open blaze of tangerine, sweet grapefruit, fresh lime, chalky , beeswax and a touch of oyster shell. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and really succulent on the attack, with a lovely core of fruit, excellent soil signature and a very long, focused and vibrant finish. This will wear its heart on its sleeve from the moment it is released, but it has the balance and acid chassis to also age quite gracefully. A lovely Vaillons. 2015-2035. (Nov/Dec 2015)"

90 points Neal Martin (Wine Advocate): "The 2014 Chablis 1Er Cru Vaillons has a tightly wound bouquet that gradually opens in the glass, hints of lime flower and a touch of white peach. The palate is well balanced with a crisp opening, slate-like texture with good acidity, perhaps not quite as tensile on the finish as some other Vaillons that I have tasted from this vintage. But it does have fine salinity lingering on the aftertaste. Drink: 2017-2029. (Aug 2016)"
