93-95 points/"5-Star Wine" Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Fine pale lemon colour. This has a beautiful nose from the very start. A large third comes from, Butteaux, for minerals, 20% from Forêts for elegance, and the remainder from Montmains for weight and structure. Classical chalky nose, absolutely perfect weight of fruit and tension here, very long finish. This will please the purist and the punter alike, says Didier (in translation). Very long aftertaste. (Jul 2020)"

94 points James Suckling: "Aromas of white pepper, stone, chalk and some aniseed with a medium body and tight, linear focus. Taut and refined with a wonderful finish. Subtle and focused. Drink now. (6/15/21)"

92+ points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Opening in the glass with notes of citrus oil, crisp green apple, iodine and wet stones, Fèvre's 2019 Chablis 1er Cru Montmains is medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with incisive acids and chalky grip on the finish. Cropped at 35 hectoliters per hectare, it's unusually deep and structured this year, and it will reward patience. Drink: 2025-2045. (Aug 2021)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): ".8 ha Butteaux (mainly) plus Forets, Montmains – about the same each of those two. More open, airy and overtly fresh. Plenty of gas in this one. But still an open wine of energy and growing flavour complexity, the last seemed constrained by its concentration today – this most definitely not. Very long finish. Great Montmains. (Feb 2021)"
