92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Les Feusselottes 1er Cru, matured in two-thirds new oak, represents the Felettigs’ smallest cuvée, at just three-and-a-half barrels. It has a very sensual bouquet of plush red fruit that becomes darker with aeration, touches of pressed iris and lavender emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin. There is a symmetry about this Feusselottes, which is supremely well focused, delivering a lot of substance and grip on the finish while maintaining freshness. The finish is slightly chalky in texture but very persistent. Very, very impressive. Drink: 2023-2040. (Jan 2019)"
93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes is also showing especially well, exhibiting a deep bouquet of Morello cherries, dark berries, warm spices and licorice. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, lavish and gourmand, with an enveloping attack, a voluminous core of fruit and largely concealed structuring tannins. Unusually, it will drink well with minimal cellaring. Drink: 2020-2035. (Nov 2019)"
From an old vine parcel in the lieu-dit of Les Grands Murs, located on the plateau rather than in the dip. Very dense and sappy, this was my favorite of out barrel in 2017 and compares quite favorably against Mugneret-Gibourg’s version at twice the price.
