91-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .23 ha parcel). An airy and perfumed nose features notes of spice, red currant and a lovely array of floral nuances. There is excellent vibrancy to the solidly concentrated and unusually powerful medium-bodied flavors that are also quite compact on the lingering and balanced finale. Once again, this is firmly austere and a wine that will need at least half a dozen years of keeping first. Drink: 2033+. (Jan 2023)"

91-93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes unwinds in the glass with aromas of dark berries, cherries, sweet spices, orange rind and licorice. Medium to full-bodied, ample and seamless, with lively acids and a fleshy core of fruit, it concludes with a long, saline finish. (Jan 2023)"

90-92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Made from 70 year old vines. A fullish purple, not quite so bright and clear. The nose is a little muddier with a touch of torrefaction. Fine density on the palate then a lift from whole bunches, but I find it less in place than the others, with a slightly firm structure. Too concentrated for its own good? Drink from 2026-2033. Tasted: December 2022."
