Made in Northern Italy, near Lake Como, home of the famous biscotti cookies that are still baked in rustic brick ovens. Sweet and delicate with hints of nuts, citrus and fennel.

93 points Wine Enthusiast: "Luscious and--as the name says--decadent. Expect thick, rounded hazelnut, chocolate and almond, cut by a fleeting hint of fennel and good alcohol balance. Serve alongside a plain, quiet dessert, so this full-flavored liqueur won't compete for attention, or use it to sweeten coffee. Abv: 28%. (Apr 2014)"

****Highly Recommended, F. Paul Pacault (Spirit Journal): "The deep straw/old gold color is pretty and pure. The opening whiffs are true to what's described on the label as confectioner's sugar and cookie batter scents please the olfactory sense in the first stages; aeration brings out a note of orange peel that mingles well with the sugar and batter. The palate entry is sweet, intense, and predictably biscuit-like; the orange aspect emerges in the midpalate taste which brings a pleasant citric acidity to the experience that balances the sugary sweetness. Ends well and elegantly."

The Tasting Panel: "The altogether delectable liqueur has a lustrous golden hue, a satiny textured medium-weight body and a bouquet exactly like that of the famous cookie--and the enticing aromas carry through to the palate. The long, lingering finish is surgically balanced and features the flavors of anise, zesty citrus and caramel. It's at its best served neat, paired with freshly brewed espressor or cappuccino, or blended with Irish cream and brandy. (Mar 2012)"
