97 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "[$336 list] There is a fluidity here, along with pure black currant, black cherry and violet flavors and a balanced whole that makes this red feel very comfortable in its own skin. All that to say this is almost seamless and, given the long aftertaste, shows terrific potential. Features a long, mineral aftertaste. Best from 2023 through 2047. 900 cases made, 50 cases imported. (4/30/19)"

97 points Tim Atkin, MW.

96 points/'Cellar Selection,' Wine Enthusiast: "[$336 list] Old vines dating to 1958 are the basis of this concentrated wine. Bold tannins and swathes of black fruits combine with the structure to give a wine that is superb and has an enormous life ahead. Wait at least until 2025. Alcohol 13.5%. (Dec 2018)"

95 points CellarTracker.com community score.

94-95 points/'Outstanding,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Latriciere-Chambertin is however still a step up in quality from the Charmes-Chambertin in my view. The nose offers layers of cool and dark red fruit brought forward by the intense and refined minerality of this slightly overlooked terroir. On the palate cool, intense and vivacious fruit – it’s elegant and airy – a tremendously balanced wine. Drink from 2032. (10/27/17)"

93-95 points/'Don't miss!' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a very large 1.21 ha parcel). Here too the wood treatment is subtle yet just prominent enough to warrant pointing out on the cool, pure and notably more sauvage nose of both red and dark wild berry and earth scents. There is a really lovely sense of underlying tension suffusing the much more mineral-driven middle weight flavors that are not quite as rich but notably more precise on the chiseled and wonderfully refined finish. Textbook. Drink: 2031+. (Jan 2018)"

92-95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Extra rich imperial purple colour. The nose has an explosion of fruit but also a restrained cooler character. A little touch of something spicy at the back adds intrigue after a lovely rich mouthful through the middle. Very satisfying."

92-95 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "($336 list; from very old vines; no frost here): Healthy dark red with ruby tones. Aromas of dark berries and coffee with cream on top. At once densely packed and perfumed in the mouth, with crushed raspberry and cranberry flavors lifted by violet. Spreads out horizontally on the back end, finishing with terrific class and ineffable rising perfume of spices and flowers. The tannins here are linear and firm but not hard. A very classy, scented grand cru in the making. (Jan 2018)"
