95 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "Clos des Issarts is a Faiveley monopole, well-placed next to the higher part of Ruchottes-Chambertin on two separate terraces. It's another impressive 2017 from a cooler premier cru, with subtle reduction, some underlying grip and lots of scented red cherry and pomegranate fruit complemented by 40% new wood. Drink: 2025-2030. (Nov 2018)"

93-95 points Fine Wine Review: "From both plots (upper and lower — lower was replanted some years ago). Juicy, mineral dark fruits, good nervous acidity; smooth on palate, round tannins. Good precision. But can drink young. Jérome Flous thinks this may be the best Issarts he has produces. (3/3/19)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos des Issarts 1er Cru is a 0.5-hectare monopole adjacent to the Clos de Ruchottes from Rousseau. The most sensual of Faiveley’s Gevrey Premier Crus, it has a seductive bouquet of pure raspberry, cranberry and rose petal scents. The well balanced palate displays supple tannin, pretty red cherries, crushed strawberry and hints of fig jam toward the detailed finish. This is a gorgeous 2017 that is going to be irresistible once in bottle. Drink: 2021-2040. (Jan 2019)"

91-94 points Jasper Morris, MW: "The upper part was replanted in 2005 with pinot fin, having previously been on the indifferent SO4 rootstock. The colour is deep and the nose classy. Quite dark fruit, not too much intensity but there is a fine thread, with some attractive fresher red fruit notes reappearing at the back. Very good length and a clean finish. (Nov 2018)"

92-93 points Steen Öhman (Winehog): "Clos des Issard is a Faiveley monopole located just north of the Clos de Ruchottes – the upper part of Ruchottes-Chambertin owned by Domaine Armand Rousseau. It’s a 0.6095 ha 1er cru that Faiveley acquired in 2002 after renting the vineyard for around 50 years. The small house/chateau located in the center of the vineyard has just been beautifully restored by Faiveley – with a artist using the house as workshop. The 2017 is fresh and forward – with the limestony soil relatively forward in the wine. It’s vivid and rather gracious – displaying the lovely terroir. It’s perhaps not a Ruchottes – but a delightful terroir it is – just few meters from the Rousseau Ruchottes. Drink from 2027. (11/14/18)"
