94-96 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Theirs is the last plot before Musigny. Rich dense purple, the nose is scintillating. This has real elegance and a very fine tension, it is not a heavyweight, it is all in red fruit, alpine strawberry and fresh raspberry, stretches out very nicely to a pure and attractive finish. Very good. Plenty of crop here so no whole bunch. (Jan 2019)"

94 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "Planted in 1970, this parcel is located on white limestone-dominated soils and always produces a very mineral style of Échézeaux: light, aromatic and charming with fine-boned tannins and well-handled oak, 40% new. A green harvest was done here in 2017 to restrict yields after the 2016 frost. Drinking Window: 2023-2030. (Nov 2018)"

94 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "[$285 list] Ripe and juicy, this deals a hand of cherry, kirsch, rose, mineral and spice notes. Though saturated with flavor and firmly structured, this delivers elegance and excellent length, driven by vibrant acidity. Shows terrific balance and complexity. Best from 2023 through 2043. 40 cases imported. (3/25/20)"

93-94 points Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Faiveley Echezeaux comes from the climat En Orveaux in the northern end of Echezeaux. Back to more normal yields after the extremely low yields in 2016. It’s still a rich and rather forward wine, offering plenty of fruit and minerality .. vivacious and even a small hint of the Chambolle side minerality perhaps. Drink from 2029. Tasted from cask 14/11/2018. (12/27/18)"

92-94 points Meal Martin (Vinous): "The 2017 Echézeaux En Orveau comes from a cool microclimate, the last before you reach Musigny, though here the vines face south rather than east on shallow soils. This has a pleasant bouquet, initially quite bashful but gaining intensity in the glass, with crushed stone infusing the dark berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied, offering sappy red berry fruit, orange peel and a touch of marmalade, and quite grippy toward the back palate. A touch of allspice features on the aftertaste. This should drink nicely over the next two decades. A well-crafted, burly Echézeaux. Drink: 2022-2042. (Jan 2019)"

90-93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A more floral-inflected nose reflects plenty of spice, herbal tea and sandalwood influences on the ripe aromas of plum and black cherry liqueur. The rich, intense and delineated medium-bodied flavors also display a taut muscularity as well as good power while delivering fine persistence on the youthfully austere, chiseled and linear finish. This is an Echézeaux of finesse and minerality. 2029+. (Jan 2019)"
