95-98 points Fine Wine Review: "I haven’t checked my previous reviews, but I can’t recall a Corton-Clos des Cortons Faiveley as great as this one seems to be. The red fruits are pure and precise with finesse. The wine is light on the palate, intense, penetrating, and long. There’s good acidity here and plenty of freshness. (12/14/17)"

96-97 points Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Corton Clos des Corton made from a large plot at the top of the Corton hill is a quite exceptional wine -- and by some margin the best red Corton I have tasted. The bouquet in crammed with sweet red and dark fruit -- detailed, refined and complex -- with a airy and zen like beauty. On the palate intense, harmonious, deep and long -- an effortless display of concentration and balance. The mid-palate fruit is both sweet, generous and juicy -- effortless display of energy in a vibrant and long finish. I do feel that this wine deserve it -- so an extraordinary Corton in the making. Perhaps I’m too generous -- but was quite stunned to taste this beauty. Drink from 2036. Tasted from cask 10/27/17. (12/30/17)"

96 points Wine Spectator: "[$300 list] The serious depth is held in reserve for now, offering black cherry, black currant, incense, earth and mineral flavors. This supple red is balanced by fleshy fruit up front, with the buried structure emerging on the finish. Reveals a terrific aftertaste of graphite, licorice and mineral. Best from 2023 through 2042. 1,500 cases made, 160 cases imported. (4/30/19)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(A normal harvest) A big nose and with a vibrant depth of dark-red fruit. Big but fresh, and really showing very fine melting flavour -- there is an underpinning of tannin but there is nothing scary about the structure of this wine -- unlike 10+ years ago. Great Corton that shows brilliantly despite what has gone before! (Tasted in Nuits St.-Georges with winemaker Jerome Flous, 13 December 2017)"

95 points Neil Beckett (The World of Fine Wine): "Even when shown after some other stellar grands crus in the range, including Latricières-Chambertin, Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Les Ouvrées rodin, and Musigny, this is strikingly good and no less special. Moreover, after a half-crop in 2015, there was, happily, an almost normal yield in 2016. An exciting nose of red and black fruit, light licorice, and spice. Densely layered but elegant, with gentle, super-fine tannins, and all animated by wonderful energy and vitality. Superb. (Issue 59; 2018)"

95 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2016 Corton Grand Cru Clos des Cortons Faiveley is another cuvée that is showing superbly from bottle, revealing an attractive bouquet of ripe red berry fruit, orange rind, wood smoke, espresso roast and dark chocolate that's framed by a deft touch of classy new oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, satiny and lavish, with a deep and layered core, excellent concentration, vibrant acids and a long, beautifully defined finish. This is one of the finest rendition of the Clos des Cortons Faiveley produced under the new regime. Drink: 2022-2050. (Jan 2019)"
