96 points James Suckling: "Black cherries and plums with an intense, earthy note. Great depth and structure, the power married to cool freshness that gives this great vitality. Enormously long and complex finish. Try to wait until at least 2023. (2/12/19)"

93-96 points Jasper Morris, MW: "From three plots, not the best placed but suited to the drier years such as 2017. Very dense deep colour. This has solid concentrated density of dark red fruit, firm structure behind, a Clos Vougeot that knows it is a Clos Vougeot. It will need several years in bottle to show its true colours, but all the ingredients are there. Quite well muscled tannins at the back. (Jan 2019)"

93-95 points Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Clos de Vougeot is very pretty – with it’s perfumed nose, and elegant fruit. Not dense and very intense like the 2016 – but elegant and fruity – showing the lovely virtues of the 2017 vintage. A delightful glass! Drink from 2030. Tasted from cask 14/11/2018. (12/27/18)"

93-95 points Meal Martin (Vinous): "The 2017 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru comes from a parcel that Erwan Faiveley candidly said is less consistent, at the mercy of the weather and dependent on a dry season. It has a charming, quite effervescent bouquet of raspberry and cranberry fruit infused with candied orange peel. A tangible sense of mineralité develops with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied, displaying gentle grip, good structure and maybe a little more detail and tension than the Echézeaux at the moment. Good potential. Drink: 2022-2040. (Jan 2019)"

94 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "This is a distinctly serious Clos de Vougeot from the Faiveleys, sourced from three parcels in the Clos, two high and one lower, adding up to 1.3ha. It's rich, dense and showing what technical director,Jérôme Flous calls 'attractive rusticity', a sensitively oaked wine that's spicy and well balanced. Drinking Window: 2025-2030. (Nov 2018)"

94 points Neil Beckett (The World of Fine Wine): "The dry, warm vintage seems to have suited this famous vineyard very well. Medium-deep ruby. A very attractive nose, expressive but properly reserved at this stage, still more red fruit than black, but fully ripe. As deep as one would expect, but far racier, silkier, and suppler than one would normally dare hope for from this cru: an engagingly mercurial Clos de Vougeot. (Issue 63; 2019)"

94 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "[$285 list] A sleek red, with well-defined cherry, floral, spice and earth notes aligned to a firm structure. This is reserved for now, with an expanding finish that emphasizes the oak spice and dark fruit elements. Best from 2022 through 2040. 40 cases imported. (3/25/20)"

91-94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(blended from 3 separate parcels). Here too the wood treatment is less than subtle though on the ripe and fresh earth-inflected aromas of wild red and dark berries, violet and a hint of leather. There is better volume to the rich and well-muscled flavors that possess better mid-palate concentration if less refinement, all wrapped in a youthfully austere and impressively persistent if rustic finish. I like the complexity and overall, there is just a bit more here. (91-94)/2032+. (Jan 2019)"
