93-95 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Aromas of cassis, orange rind, smoked meats and loamy soil introduce Faiveley's 2019 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, a medium to full-bodied, layered and demonstrative wine that's concentrated and succulent, with an ample core of ripe fruit framed by velvety tannins and lively acids. This is another especially fine cuvée this year. (Jan 2021)"
93-95 points Jasper Morris, MW: "The Charmes-Chambertin is a blend of Domaine fruit (ex Dupont-Tisserandot) and purchased grapes from the neighbour, vinified separately then blended. This has just a light reductive nose before the sweet strawberries and cream kick in. It is ripe, not unbalanced, the reduction reprising towards the finish. Fine length again. Tasted: November 2020."
91-94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from Charmes proper). A pungent nose of reduction and wood is tough to read at present. Otherwise, the rich and caressing yet powerful and relatively robust flavors possess excellent size and weight along with very solid concentration where the abundant dry extract does a fine job of buffering the firm tannic spine shaping the youthfully austere and impressively long finish. Drink: 2034+. (Jan 2021)"
Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "A deeper nose, a little smoky oak in the mix – a nice width too. Supple, mouth-filling, really great texture – a couple of mm of cushioning here – but always mobile and fresh. More weight and depth to the flavour, less elegance and definition vs the Latricieres – excellent wine, but I take the LT – what a great finish though – just have a little patience with this. (Dec 2020)"
