97 points James Suckling: "Deep, dark and mysterious, rich and velvety, this is another amazing 2017 Grand Cru from Faiveley. The enormous power is tucked away in the background, so that you barely notice it. Wonderful minerality, married to caressing texture on the palate. Iron in the soul! Try to wait until 2023. (2/12/19)"

95-97 points Fine Wine Review: "Deep, complex nose with subtle mineral notes, slight hint of Clos-de-Bèze animality. Deep, pure, red fruits with minerality, ripeness, but also good structure from the coolness of the terroir. The fruit has good intensity. (3/5/19)"

96 points Neil Beckett (The World of Fine Wine): "Intense mid-ruby. Another captivating rose fanée scent but nothing faded or overblown, merely at its heady peak of perfection (the flower, not the wine); lightly earthy, too, but completely clean. Denser silk than the Latricières, and a little more grip--really more of a very gentle squeeze. Seamless, with lovely freshness and length. (Issue 63; 2019)"

94-96 points Meal Martin (Vinous): "The 2017 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru comes from two parcels. It has a charming bouquet of ebullient raspberry and wild strawberry aromas; hints of vanilla pod and rose petal lend complexity. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, gentle grip and a saline, oyster-shell-tinged finish that lingers in the mouth. This is one of Faiveley’s most impressive offerings in 2017. Superb. Drink: 2022-2048. (Jan 2019)"

95 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Clear fresh purple with a lighter rim, very perfumed, plenty of charm here. Some whole bunches showing in an elegant style, leavening the ripe fruit. Impressive intensity in linear style, this will develop very nicely, and begins to do so with time in the glass. Does it have quite the punch in the middle and at the end for a really high score? (Sep 2021)"

93-95 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a 1.29 ha parcel). An exuberantly spicy and attractively fresh nose offers up notes of red currant, essence of plum and ample floral influences, all of which is surrounded by much more subtle wood influence. The refined and pure middle weight flavors possess excellent delineation and verve while delivering very fine complexity and persistence on the youthfully austere finish. Like many of the wines in the range, this is not especially dense but it is beautifully harmonious and well-balanced plus the dense but fine tannins should assure a long life. 2035+. (Jan 2019)"

93-95 points Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Chambertin Clos de Beze – the regular cuvée – is another step up – underlining that Clos de Bèze and Chambertin are in a different league in the Gevrey appellation. This is quite long and sumptuous showing a lovely intensity and minerality. A classic Clos de Beze with plenty of forward fruit and depth. Still .. a step up to the mighty Les Ouvrées Rodin. Drink from 2030. Tasted from cask 14/11/2018. (12/27/18)"
