97 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "This starts with a fragrant, supple and complex nose that smells of toasted hazelnuts, vanilla bean, sweet citrus and Comice pear peel. The notable concentration is head-turning. It is one of those wines you wouldn't mind just smelling over and over again, even without sipping. But it would be a shame to miss as the palate is stylish, moreish and bewitching. Purchased in 2008, along with the Bâtard-Montrachet, these vines were planted in 1980. (2023)"

94-96 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2021 Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has such an expressive and vivacious nose that positively leaps out of the glass. In fact, if you just imagine a neon plus sign, that probably expresses the aromatics better than anything else. Happy at its survival after the frost? The palate is very well balanced with grace and poise, Williams pear mixed with white peach, tensile on the citric finish. Excellent. Drink: 2025-2048. (Jan 2023)"

93-95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Nearly 40 hl/ha after successful protection and late pruning, but that put them more at oidium risk. A plumper bouquet, pears to the fore, a light touch from the barrel. Then a burst of deeper flavour behind. Still extremely backward but the intensity is there. Drink from 2028-2034. (Nov 2022)"

94 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "Although the Bienvenues is not as powerful as the Bâtard, it has an elegant balance that excels its richer neighbour. The wine boasts aromas of ripe peach and melon with a pleasant hint of chamomile and an almost salty mineral note. The texture is concentrated and dense, but the silky elegance and superb balance also come through. The grapes come from a half-hectare parcel acquired in 2008; they are firmly pressed and fermented on native yeasts with most of their lees in cask (60% new), where they stay over two full winters. Drinking Window: 2025-2045. (Jun 2022)"

93-94+ points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2021 Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru reveals aromas of peach, pastry cream, toasted nuts and spices, followed by a full-bodied, rich and unctuous palate that unites texture and tension to compelling effect. This parcel was largely successfully protected from frost in 2021. (Jan 2023)"
