91 points Jasper Morris, MW: "60% whole bunch fermentation. Rich purple with a darker centre. There is a volume of fruit here even on the nose which takes away the sharp edges. There is a very attractive weight of fruit on the palate with a jolly crunch of minerals behind. Round in the mouth. This works. Tasted: November 2018. (Nov 2018)"

90 points and 'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(75+ year old vines). This too is a very ripe wine in the context of the 2017 vintage with its lightly wooded nose of plum, spice, earth and forest floor. As usual, there is more power and mid-palate concentration to the sappy medium-bodied flavors that also exude a discreet minerality onto the more complex and slightly more structured finale. As it usually is, this is an excellent Gevrey villages and well worth your interest. Drink: 2027+. (Jan 2020)"

17/20 points Julia Harding, MW (JancisRobinson.com): "60% whole bunch, more new oak than on the straight village wine. Vines 60+ years old though some vines have been replaced, some will soon be celebrating their centenary. More marl on this site and more power and tannin. Clos Prieur premier cru parcel is included here. Dark and spicy on the nose, very Gevrey. Elegant and refined, the tannins have power but also precision. Tight and so fine, so fine. Subtle, savoury beauty in its dark, shaded character. Drink: 2023-2030. (11/27/18)"
