96 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "[$200 list] This red's depth and harmony are evident on the first sniff and sip. Delivers a deep well of balanced black cherry, plum, licorice, tar, sandalwood and toasty oak flavors, with dense structure and supple texture. Fresh and long, featuring dark fruit, mineral and spice that echo on the finish. Best from 2025 through 2047. 25 cases imported. (2022)"

95 points CellarTracker.com community score.

93 points/'Sweet spot,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .52 ha parcel of 50+ year old vines). A wonderfully fresh, cool and airy nose features scents of black cherry and newly turned earth with a floral top note that are trimmed in subtle but not imperceptible wood. There is fine mid-palate density and minerality to the delicious, intense and serious flavors that are shaped by a firm tannic spine on the overtly mineral-driven finish that makes clear that this will require at least a few years of cellaring. I very much like the complexity on this classy effort, and this too is worth considering. Drink: 2031+. (Jan 2021)"
