91-95 points Fine Wine Review: "This wine has purity and more steeliness than the village Morey. It features red currant fruit and excellent acidity. (1/2/18)"

94 points Tim Atkin, MW (Jan 2018).

93 points Jasper Morris, MW: "A blend of Ruchots with Millandes, Charrières and a tiny bit of Sorbes. Dense darker purple. The nose is quite reticent. This is tight, lean, austere but undeniably concentrated. Dark cherry fruit, good length. (Jan 2018)"

92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2016 Morey 'Premier Cru' bottling is also quite black fruity this year, offering up a refined bouquet of black cherries, dark berries, espresso, venison, lovely soil tones, raw cocoa and cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, long and really shows a nice touch of the vintage’s sappiness at the core, with fine-grained tannins and impressive focus and grip on the long, tangy and complex finish. Superb juice. 2026-2065. (Nov/Dec 2017)"

90-92 points and 'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A hint of reduction does not materially detract from the white orchard fruit and lemon-tinged aromas. Here too there is excellent punch to the overtly saline-inflected medium weight flavors that are markedly dry where the citrus element flashed by the nose resurfaces. This is really quite good and worth checking out. Drink: 2022+. (Jan 2018)"

90-92 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Good dark red. Seductive scents of briary berries, brown spices, smoky underbrush and wild herbs. At once silky and intense on entry, then shapely and penetrating in the middle palate, offering a captivating combination of sweet dark fruits and saline earth tones. This concentrated, long wine finishes with serious but suave tannins. (Jan 2018)"
