91 points James Suckling: "Aromas of blueberries, meat and flowers follow through to a full body, with super fine tannins and a lovely balance of fruit. Minerals and spices. Excellent second wine from Duhart. Try after 2017. (3/2/12)"
90 points Wine Spectator: "A briary, peppery style, with open-knit graphite structure supporting a lightly raisined mix of cherry and blackberry fruit and a flash of steeped currant on the finish. There's some grip, but this is accessible now. Drink now through 2022. (3/31/12)"
This is the second wine from Château Duhart-Milon, a Fourth Growth owned by the Rothschild family. Notes of toasted oak, vanilla, black cherry and plum. A slightly earthy characteristic on the back palate opens to a finish with impressive length. Decant before drinking and will cellar for another 8-10 years.
