Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "Mainly Montmains with a small part of Forêts. Vines in the mid-20s-year-old. A little more than 1.8 hectares. Risky for frost here at the bottom of the hill as there’s not much air circulation. An extra depth to the mineral side here, the citrus is still evident, but on a lower level – a nice accent of salinity too. Saline, very silky, mineral with an intense accent of citrus acidity. Great finishing once more – great width and complexity – bravo! (Jan 2021)"

An incredible value for Montmains from the excellent 2019 Chablis vintage.

Producer notes: "A fresh and straightforward wine, typical of Chablis. Clear, straw-yellow color, with green reflections. The complex and mineral nose reveals flavors of citrus and white flowers. Clear-cut impression on the palate. Nice balance between texture and mineral sensations; a wide palette of aromas: citrus, vegetal notes such as asparagus or artichoke; even hints of a marine environment. Vintage: Vivid, fiery and bright, 2019 Chablis wines show their typical classic acidity. They boast a crazy charm and deliver scents of fern, coriander and other delicious aromas."
