92+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "While the Folatières bottling is Maison Drouhin’s most famous premier cru in Puligny, their Clos de la Garenne is also consistently excellent (and hails from the same fine grower who farms their Folatières and whom the family has worked with for many decades). The 2017 Clos de la Garenne was still in barrel in November and showing beautifully, offering up a fine nose of white peach, apple, a touch of tangerine, chalky minerality, incipient notes of crème patissière and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and focused, with lovely mid-palate depth, fine soil signature, bright acids and a very long, poised and complex finish. A lovely example. 2021-2045. (Nov/Dec 2018)"
92 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Pale yellow colour, a mix of fruit and oak on the nose, a style made to show well early on. Generously built on the palate with fully ripe fruit building to the back, some orange blossom, acidity judged just right. Tasted: November 2018."
92 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A cool, pure and airy nose reflects notes of apple, citrus, spice and acacia blossom. The caressing yet punchy and nicely delineated medium-bodied flavors possess excellent verve and plenty of minerality on the savory, balanced and focused finish. Good stuff that should repay up to a decade of cellaring. Drink: 2024+. (Jun 2019)"
