93-95 points Fine Wine Review: "The nose has juniper aromas typical of Genevrières. The wine is light in the mouth with finesse, peach and juniper flavors, a smooth texture, some juiciness, length, and excellent minerality and finesse. The grapes were picked on 30 August and 6 September and Drouhin purchased the musts. (5/19/19)"

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2017 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières offers up notes of crisp orchard fruit, pastry cream, white flowers and a delicate framing of new wood. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, elegant and precise, with a satiny attack, deep but open-knit core and a pure finish. It's a lovely Genevriéres in the making. (Jan 2019)"

93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Genevrières was another wine where the grapes were picked in two tranches in 2017, as the younger vines ripened quicker than the older vines here. Consequently, the teams were out here on both August 30th and again on September 6th, to bring in each parcel at proper ripeness. The wine was still in cask at the time of my visit and showing beautifully, offering up a pure and complex bouquet of apple, passion fruit, pear, salty minerality, apple blossoms, orange zest and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and complex, with really impressive raciness and focus, a lovely core of fruit and a very long, refined and classic finish. In 2017, the Drouhins’ Genevrières was raised in twenty-five percent new oak. Drinking Window: 2018-2045. ((Nov/Dec 2018)"

91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2017 Meursault Genevrières 1er Cru is a relatively new offering from Drouhin. The vineyard includes vines of differing ages, so it was picked over three different days. In fact, it was the first white to be picked, starting on August 30 and finishing on September 6. It has a delightful bouquet of orange blossom, tangerine and light lemon peel aromas. The palate is well balanced with a citrus-driven entry that then segues into a taut, crisp, lightly spiced midpalate, with nutmeg and walnut emerging toward the finish. Drink: 2021-2033. (Jan 2019)"
