92 points James Suckling: "Lots of crushed strawberry with cherry and some stone and mineral undertones. Peaches, too. Fuller style of rosé with lots of fruit and creaminess at the end. Vinous finish. Pure fruit. The base is 2018. Drink now. (1/5/22)"
91 points Tyson Stelzer (The Champagne Guide): "(2014 base vintage; roughly 10% chardonnay, 90% pinot; Montagne de Reims and Côte d’Aÿ; 8% pinot noir red wine from old vines in Meurtet in Aÿ; aged 3 years on lees; 8.5g/L dosage; cork). The pure, fresh style of Deutz is perfectly suited to elegant and restrained rosé, and the house is unusual in producing the style at three different levels. Right from the start, the entry cuvée is a gorgeous, bright, medium salmon hue. Deep nuances of black cherry and cherry kernel contrast fleshy poached strawberries, meeting dusty notes of dried spice and dried rose petal. Far from the graceful mood of the 2012 base, this is more reticent and more savoury than the usual bright, lifted guise of this cuvée, structured with firm yet super-fine phenolic grip and fine, salty chalk minerality. It upholds its integrity and confidence on a long finish of impressive red berry fruit integrity. A second bottle was identical. (2020-2021)"
