96 points James Suckling: "Discreet and nuanced nose, showing lemon-curd, brioche and pie-crust notes. A hint of savory umami, too. Beautiful integration of autolysis with the fruit. Subtle and creamy, with a really fine, nicely woven perlage that is closely knit with the zesty citrus fruit. Elegant, chalky and long, with a gentle and mouthwatering finish. There is power even it is more about finesse and elegance here. Drink now or hold. (9/6/22)"

95 points Falstaff Guide: "Medium golden yellow, delicate mousseux. A hint of cookie and honey underpinned by an abundance of stone fruit and citrus fruit, notes of orange blossom. Complex, full-bodied, ripe yellow fruit, white nougat, carried by the fresh acidity of the vintage, remains very persistent, shows length, ginger nuances in the finish, a juicy food companion with further potential. (10/6/23)"

95 points Bettane & Desseauve Guide (2023).

94 points La Revue du Vin de France: "We enjoyed the 2013 William Deutz brut, a beautiful definition of the tension of this late vintage... (2023)"

94 points Wine Enthusiast: "[$200 list] A mature Champagne that has fine, ripe white fruits set against a mineral edge. The wine's lightly toasty character is now integrated with the fruit. It is ready to drink. (Dec 2023)"

92-94 points Essi Avellan, MW: "(77% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay, 3% Meunier). The original Deutz prestige cuvée before the emergence of Amour de Deutz, Cuvée William Deutz highlights the house's Pinot Noir roots in the Montagne de Reims. Complex nose on the red-fruit side, with spiciness and pastry tones adding to the developing fruitiness. Red apple, strawberry, vanilla and woody tones. The palate is playful and energetic, with a joyous lightness to it, despite the fruity intensity and a touch of aromatic austerity. Silky and long, this finishes on a sweet, fruity note. Dosage 7.5g/l. (Aug 2022)"
