It starts out a touch reductive, showing mealy oak, but as it opens shows more plump red berry fruit, undergrowth and gentle spice characters. Tannins have a savory, sappy tug on the silky fruit in the mouth. There's an almost surprising freshness here and a good length to the finish. Drink now with a meal or cellar until around 2029.
