Since leaving his family’s Domaine (Marc Colin) to form his own label in 2006 with vineyard holdings given to him by his father, everything Pierre-Yves Colin has touched turns to gold. In fact, it’s hard to remember a single White Burgundy producer who has caused so much fervor with Burgundy collectors over such a short period of time as Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey (PYCM). His wines have established cult status around the world and have become among the most in-demand on the market. PYCM’s highly esteemed Chassagne-Montratchet 1er Cru “Les Chenevottes”, for example, whose vines are primely situated along the Puligny border (a mere stone’s throw from Le Montrachet), yields just a couple barrels per vintage.
