97 points Chris Kissack (Winedoctor): "From a tiny parcel of vines situated very close to the railway line as it passes through Chacé and Varrains. The élevage here was mostly in new oak. The nose is perfumed, with grilled cherry and olive stone, with some toasted almond notes from the oak, and there is some reassuring reduction here as well. The palate is tense and bright, in a reductive style like the nose, polished yet matchsticky. It is cool and fresh, the midpalate laden with tension and energy, gripped with very silky tannins and a vibrant acidity. An intense, focused, stylish wine, long and vigorous. Excellent. (Jun 2019)"
96 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Le Bourg announces a radiant future, with a higher density of dry extracts and radiant velvety power. A great 'vin d'emotion' to cellar for at least ten years. (2022)"
