93-95 points Jasper Morris, MW: "This is an east facing vineyard on oolitic rock, relatively high on the hill but with good topsoil. A fine glowing purple, the nose shows the sunshine of the vintage with riper fruit. Lifted vibrant red fruit, not too intense but very persistent, an extremely elegant Beaux Monts showing class more than power. A winter wine whereas Brûlées is for the summer months. (Nov 2019)"
92-95 points Fine Wine Review: "Pure, precise, ethereal. Violets, lots of finesse, length, spiciness, complexity. An outstanding wine. Vines are about 70 years-old. (4/10/20)"
91-94 points/'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 50+ year old vines). An elegant and airy if decidedly restrained nose offers up lovely spice nuances on the dark berry fruit-scented aromas that are markedly floral in character. There is a fine sense of energy to the detailed, sleek and taut medium weight flavors that possess a beguiling texture before terminating in a balanced, highly complex and lingering finish that is almost pungent saline. A classic VRBM. Drink: 2030+. (Jan 2020)"
