96 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): The 2019 Idig GG is pure and chalky on the deep, intense, fully ripe yet elegant, refined and lemon-scented nose with its ripe mirabelle aromas. Silky and juicy on the first palate, this is an elegant, very complex, tight and mineral Idig with structure, finesse and well-dosed power. The finish is pure and salty, beautifully citric and very long, with promising grip and tension. Tasted shortly after the bottling in April 2020. To be released in September this year. Drink: 2026-2040. (Aug 2020)"
18.5/20 points Michael Schmidt (JancisRobinson.com): "\ Impresses on the nose with minerality in all its facets from chalky to earthy and dusty too, but is not short of ripe fruit from peach to pear. Like all Christmann’s wines, on the palate it prefers subtlety to ostentatiousness and is as much about structure as about flavour. Fruit, minerality, herbs and spices are not trying to outdo each other but strive for harmony. Drinking Window: 2022-2030. (8/25/20)"
