96 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "Les St. Georges is often the most purely black fruity wine in the Chevillon lineup, but in 2017, it has caught the red fruity fever that has swept through the other wines here and is gorgeously loaded with aromatics from the red side of the spectrum. The stunning bouquet soars from the glass in a sophisticated blend of red plums, red and black cherries, raw cocoa, pigeon, a touch of nutskin, very, very complex minerality, peonies and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, focused and youthfully reserved, with plenty of sap down at the core, great soil signature, fine-grained tannins, laser-like focus and a very, very long, complex and utterly seamless finish. Brilliant juice. 2030-2075+. (Nov/Dec 2018)"

94-96 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Saint-Georges is a stunning wine in the making, soaring from the glass with a beautiful bouquet of cassis, violets, wild plums, wood smoke and rich soil tones. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, ample and multidimensional, with serious reserves of beautifully refined structuring tannin and concentrated fruit, concluding with a long and sapid finish. This is a stunning wine from the Chevillon brothers which could hold its own against most of the Côte de Nuits' grands crus this year. (Jan 2019)"

94-96 points Fine Wine Review: "The Les Saint-Georges shows finesse and even more concentration to its dark and red fruits. The wine is long with a velvet texture and quality tannins. This wine should be able to take substantial aging. (2/14/19)"

95 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "Often the most backward, as well as the most concentrated, of the Chevillons' premiers crus, this is also the oakiest right now. But rest assured that there's more than enough structure for the wine to cope. It's deep, rich and focussed, with stony minerality and spicy, plummy, red berry intensity. Drinking Window: 2025-2032. (Nov 2018)"

92-95 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Nobly dark purple and a sense of luxury to the nose. This is significantly more mouth-filling, the oak seems more present but only in terms of helping to fill out the wine. Certainly has something of everything, spicy dark fruit. Tasted: November 2018."

92-95 points and 'Don't miss!/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .60 ha parcel of 75+ year old vines). This is also quite spicy with a pretty and broad-ranging combination of red cherry, plum and violet aromas that are cut with warm earth hints. The big-bodied flavors possess a bit more minerality as well as more size, weight and evident power before culminating in a racy yet seductive finish that is very clearly built to age. This tautly muscular effort manages to be serious yet refined. Drink: 2033+. (Jan 2019)"
