95 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "One of an impressive array of premiers crus from the south side of Nuits, the Chevillons' parcel in Pruliers extends to 0.6ha and is 55 years old. It's a wine of considerable freshness, detail and precision, showing floral aromas, some sweet spices, succulent red berry fruit and a focussed, chalky finish. Drinking Window: 2023-2028. (Nov 2018)"

92-94+ points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "A virile wine built for the cellar, the 2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Pruliers unfurls in the glass with aromas of sweet red berries, cassis, peonies, orange rind and dark chocolate. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, richly tannic and muscular, with a deep core of concentrated fruit, tangy acids and a long, fine-grained but firm finish. It will demand and reward patience. (Jan 2019)"

92-94 points Fine Wine Review: "The Nuits-Pruliers is has darker fruit that is deep and pure, and the wine has good structure and lightness on the palate. (2/14/19)"

91-94 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Fractionally lighter but equally bright purple. Striking fruit quality, density and precision. Again on the cusp of red and black, but a note of austerity keeping it honest. Some grainier tannins. Tasted: November 2018."

93+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2017 Pruliers may be the only wine in the Chevillon cellars this year that is not a quintessential expression of its terroir, but I mean this in a good way, as this is normally the most black fruity premier cru in the lineup, but this year it is bursting with atypical red fruity charm and sappiness! The bouquet is beautiful and very, very polite for young Pruliers, wafting from the glass in a refined blend of red and black cherries, red plums, raw cocoa, gamebird, dark soil tones, nutskin and a beautifully-measured base of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and properly structured, with a superb core of fruit, lovely transparency, beautiful focus and grip and a very long, complex and ripely tannic finish. Another superb wine in the making. 2027-2065+. (Nov/Dec 2018)"

91-93 points and 'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .70 ha parcel of 50+ year old vines). A distinctly earthy and somewhat somber nose possess notes of underbrush, the sauvage, dark currant and plum. The rich, concentrated and powerful medium weight flavors flesh both good minerality and excellent complexity on the solidly long and balanced if overtly rustic and very firm finish. This is a big wine in the context of the vintage and very Nuits in character. Drink: 2032+. (Jan 2019)"
