92 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from vines on the northern end of the vineyard). Here too the nose is cool, elegant and airy with its fresh array of various white fleshed fruit cut with a variety of citrus influences. The racy, intense and focused middle weight flavors culminate in a compact, linear and somewhat strict finale. While this promising effort clearly needs time to flesh out, it should be able to do that if allowed sufficient time. Drink: 2029+. (Jun 2021)"

91 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Still a light yellow colour but this is very steely with more grip behind, brisk fresh plums, medium weight for a premier cru but long and stylish. (Feb 2021)"

91 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "[$92 list] The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Les Champs Gain 1er Cru, one of the last vines to be picked, even after the reds, has a well-defined bouquet of slate-like aromas, very cool and almost Zen-like in style. The palate is well balanced with a sappy entry and a fine bead of acidity. Taut and focused, if just needing a tad more grip on the finish. It will deserve 2–4 years in bottle. Drink: 2023-2038. (Dec 2020)"
