92 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "This is also aromatically attractive with lovely purity to the more deeply pitched nose of plum, earth and discreet floral nuances. There is better volume to the more muscular and powerful medium weight flavors that exude evident minerality on the ever-so-slightly rustic finish that is also decidedly compact and tightly wound. This is well-worth checking out but given that Chanlins rarely drinks especially well young, plan on cellaring it for at least 7 to 8 years first. Drink: 2031+. (Apr 2021)"

91 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Romaric Chavy has produced 7 barrels of this perfumed Pommard. Pure clear crimson in lighter style. Very perfumed, lighter body, touch of liquorice behind, fine-boned tannins, very long finish, a lovely example of how Pommard is responding well to the new climate. (Feb 2021)"

90 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2019 Pommard Les Chanlins 1er Cru was completely destemmed, unlike the Volnay. I find this has a little more refinement than the Volnay and greater purity of fruit (blackberry and raspberry). The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins; quite strict and linear, but there is decent grip on the finish. Not a flamboyant Pommard, yet 'correct.' (Dec 2020)"
