90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Bourgogne "Terroir d'Exception" has a well-defined nose, touches of honeysuckle and beeswax. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity; it's quite saline in the mouth with better depth and more freshness than the Clos du Château on the finish. Outstanding for its class, though that is no surprise if you look at its location! Drink: 2023-2027. (Jan 2022)"
Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "...There’s a plot in Meursault Perrières that was a quarry hole and later refilled. They had the right to plant but INAO said only with a Bourgogne label. The plot sits directly behind the wall of the Clos des Perrières. It was planted in 1977, delivering about 3,000 bottles... it goes without saying that you probably can’t buy a better bourgogne."
This Bourgogne is called "Terroir d'Exception" because its vineyard is situated in the heart of the Meursault Perrières appellation. This parcel produces a wine full of minerality and finesse, similar to Meursault 1er cru Perrières--and at less than half the price!
