The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity; it's quite saline in the mouth with better depth and more freshness than the Clos du Château on the finish. The plot sits directly behind the wall of the Clos des Perrières. It was planted in 1977, delivering about 3,000 bottles... it goes without saying that you probably can’t buy a better bourgogne."
This Bourgogne is called "Terroir d'Exception" because its vineyard is situated in the heart of the Meursault Perrières appellation. This parcel produces a wine full of minerality and finesse, similar to Meursault 1er cru Perrières--and at less than half the price!
