95 points James Suckling: "Rippling with cassis, sour-cherry and forest-berry aromas, this is a stunning Givry 1er Cru that marries excellent concentration with very fine, precisely crafted tannins, the lively acidity adding a light touch at the very graceful finish, where the wonderful freshness suggests this has excellent aging potential. From biodynamically grown grapes. Bottled unfiltered. Drink or hold. (9/29/22)"

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Givry 1er Cru Clos Du Cellier Aux Moines opens in the glass with notes of cherries, raspberries, sweet spices and orange rind. Medium to full-bodied, lively and enveloping, with real plentitude and an abundance of powdery tannin, it's a superb wine in the making. (Jul 2021)"

88-92 points Jasper Morris MW (Inside Burgundy): "I tasted all the component parts form barrel. The rating is for my overall impression. First up were the old vines (1974 and 1978) which the team regard as the least interesting component because of the plant material. Half the vines have since been pulled out. Vibrant purple, intense pinot, plenty of energy but rustic tannins. All very concentrated. Sous la Maison (2008 to 2012). A solid even purple from new wood. Punchier tannins but there is a fine class to the fruit and it stays fresh. Sous la Cadole (2012). More soil here on top of water retaining marl. Glowing purple, robust backward nose, burst of energy in the middle if the palate, very fruit forward, better integrated tannins and decent length. Haut du Coteau (2011). More limestone, ripens quickly. Pure fresh purple, elegant and classy bouquet. Takes its time on the palate, then very peppery with a fine clean raspberry fruit. Good persistence. Blended together, with a proportion of Les Dessus included, these will make a very impressive Givry. Drink from 2025-2033. Tasted: February 2022."
