96 points James Suckling: "Mushroom and earth aromas. Dark fruit and wild mushrooms, too. Full-bodied, dense and layered. Juicy, savory fruit and a favorful finish. Super wine. Drink now. (1/19/18)"

96 points International Wine Report: "The 2007 Tenuta Nuova offers a generous dose of ripe blackberries and plum along with spices, leather and subtle hints of earthy notes. Shows concentration and depth with wonderful rich texture. The finish is long and persistent, leaving behind lovely fruit to linger on and on. This is a Tenuta Nouva that you can approach somewhat earlier than most, but certainly still has the stuff to hang around for a while. Best 2015-2025. (Mar 2013)"

95+ points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2007 Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova saturates the palate with masses of super-ripe dark fruit, tar, licorice and new leather. The Tenuta Nuova is an especially full-bodied, seamless Sangiovese deeply influenced by the Mediterranean climate of this warm site in the south of Montalcino. Layers of fruit build to an effortless, resonant finish laced with considerable aromatic nuance. This is another terrific showing from Giacomo Neri and his talented team. Drink: 2017-2027. (Apr 2012)"

94 points Monica Larner (Wine Advocate): "The 2007 Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova shows thick body mass and volume. But it also appears to be on the distant outer edge of oxidation. There is a good amount of meat on these bones with dark fruit nuances, roasted almond, honey, chestnut and pressed roses. The more evolved side of the bouquet shows smoked bacon and dried bresaola. If you have a bottle, you might start bringing it up from your cellar. Drink: 2018-2026. (Feb 2018)"

93 points Wine Spectator: "Effusive aromas of ripe cherry, plum tart and cedar lead to a macerated cherry flavor, with plenty of spice accents as this gains steam. Just a touch hot on the balance now, with assertive tannins, yet this blossoms after a few hours in the glass. Best from 2015 through 2030. (9/30/12)"
