92 points James Halliday (Wine Companion): "Barrel-ferment-bacon-back smoky tannins tie the tsunami of blue to black fruits into a smooth sheath of intensity and latent power, staining the mid-palate. This is old-school Australian shiraz, impeccably manicured and glossy, from warmth of OTT fruit to structural prowess. Closure: Cork. 15% alcohol. Drink by 2029. (Dec 2017)"
Producer notes: "This limited release of Old Adam Shiraz is a result of fastidious batch and barrel selection from the wonderful 2015 vintage. The Old Adam is a combination of parcels of wine from the best blocks of shiraz from our vineyards. These vineyards are influenced by the temperate microclimate of warm days, cool evenings and dry conditions which prevail in Langhorne Creek during the ripening season."
