96 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "There are some 6,600 bottles of Bouland's 2018 Morgon Les Delys Vieilles Vignes de 1926—a cuvée that readers shouldn't confuse with Bouland's new Delys bottling from younger vines that he used to blend into his Corcelette. Revealing a deep and complex bouquet that mingles blackberry and cassis fruit with nuances of smoke, rich soil tones and spice, the wine is deep, full-bodied and enveloping, saturating the palate with layer after layer of sapid fruit and velvety tannin, its imposing structural bones entirely hidden by copious flesh. As is often the case, this is a Morgon with more than a passing resemblance to a young Clape Cornas, and in its muscular stylist register, it's one of the finest cuvées being produced in the Beaujolais today. Drink: 2022-2040. (Aug 2019)"

93+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "These very, very old vines, planted back in 1926, are responsible for the only Morgon from Daniel Bouland that has landed a bit higher in octane than customary in the 2018 vintage, as this wine comes in at an even fourteen percent. However, the wine is very precise and vibrant on the nose and seems just a tad lower in octane than this, as it offers up a deep and black fruity nose of black cherries, cassis, woodsmoke, raw cocoa, gorgeously complex, dark soil tones, currant leaf, lavender and exotic spice tones of cumin and clove. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and sappy at the core, with marvelous focus and grip, ripe, suave tannins and a long, plush and very complex finish. The slightly higher octane level here is only apparent in the more easygoing and plush texture of the wine out of the blocks, as there is more ripe, puppy fat fruit here to cover the structural elements. Great juice in a very slightly riper style. 2024-2055. (Jan/Feb 2020)"
