91-93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Incorporating an appreciable percentage of whole bunches, the 2019 Pommard 1er Cru bursts with notes of peonies, plums, orange rind, sweet red berries and raw cocoa. Medium to full-bodied, ample and velvety, it's supple and precise, with an ample core of perfumed, sapid fruit. (Jan 2021)"

91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2019 Pommard 1er Cru is a blend of Les Chanlins and Les Combes. It has a well-defined bouquet of pure brambly red berry fruit, briar and sous-bois. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, quite supple tannins. Silky-smooth in texture, this feels very cohesive. A judicious touch of black pepper appears on the finish. Excellent. Drink: 2023-2035. (Dec 2020)"

90-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from Les Chanlins and Les Combes). Here too there is a subtle but not invisible touch of wood that surrounds a ripe blend of both red and blue pinot fruit along with plenty of floral influences. There is outstanding energy to the well-detailed medium weight flavors that conclude in a moderately austere but not really rustic finale. This is also quite good though a wine that will need at least some patience as it too is quite tightly wound today. Drink: 2031+. (Apr 2021)"
